I am looking for some kind of exercise tool/equipment for someone who can’t get out of bed much. Something to work the arms and legs, nothing bulky or expensive.

peter asked:

I would like to purchase one piece of exercise equipment for home use that would give me the best cardio workout.

I know elliptical machines are highly thought of, but can someone suggest the best make/model that would burn the most calories in 30 minutes if the exercises are done correctly on the machine?

Thank you

I am looking into buying a treadmill or an eliptical, and was wondering which would be the best one to get for someone who wants to lose weight in the belly, upper legs/thighs and the behind? I dont want to spend more than $500. I am also open to any ideas you have on other exercise equipment that would help with what I want to do.

Nickleback asked:

50 year-old male uses a treadmill (almost) daily. I want to lose weight and get rid of my gut. What piece of exercise equipment should I buy next? It’s going in a semi-finished basement with a 7 1/2 foot ceiling (so a trampoline is probably out…) I’d like to keep the cost of the new or used equipment under $250.

Jody May asked:

I’ve always had a problem with the upper half of my body. I’ve been on a diet to lose weight, be toned, and healthier. I watch what I eat and how much I take in. I’ve been drinking only water and I jog 45 minutes a day 5 days out of the week. I’m looking to tone the upper part of my body, but I don’t like using exercise equipment. I need exercises that can tone my arms, stomach, my chest, and especially my back (because I do have back problems). Is there anyone that can suggest any exercises that can tone those areas without using exercise equipment?
